I bought them to do some moderate hiking in Oregon/Washington. Honestly can’t speak highly enough about these hiking shoes. Theyre comfortable, light, and still give you everything you look for in a hiking shoe. Also the gore-tex is incredibly waterproof. Tied them tight and was in water that was over the tounge of the shoe and got no water inside

I have three pairs of the original Moab Speed. Nice shoes. Light, supportive and comfortable. Oval lugs don’t grab at all on wet or leafy surfaces. Current ones have no personality. Colors range from tan all the way to greige. What happened to gold, Tahoe blue, and brick red? Been waiting for the palette to show up because my originals have lost their waterproofing at the seams.

Now retired and traveling for months at a time, I needed some hiking shoes that could face anything in the UK environments, and particularly good with wet/rain, mud, and hiking on rocks where need traction; these have been great — good traction, can navigate wet spaces, too, and easy to clean and keep going — very satisfied with these, and also easy to pack as lightweight, small compared to other shoes

I have bought 2 pairs of these over the year's and I am going to get another pair. These are the most comfortable shoes I have. They wear very well.

Moab Speed was clunky and stiff with no padding in the in sole. I returned.

Grabbed these for hiking in Switzerland! Light weight, waterproof and out of the box comfortable. I think they look good walking around Europe with jeans too, that’s a bonus!

Great shoe, RUNS SMALLER THAN THE MOAB SPEED VENT WOMEN, compared sole to sole. The back of the sole is the same, the front of the sole starts sooner on this gore-tex version and is overall shorter. Got these for my daughter and she told me she needs a half size up and her foot must be growing still..... compared to the vent shoes in the same size (that she's worn for several months and the fabric is decomposing in the inner heel and other areas) and these are differently sized. I really, really, really hope it's only for this version! I'll have to go into a store now. Standard sizing REALLY helps with purchasing $$$ online. Thank you Merrell for making these great shoes, please please please keep soles the same for the Moab Speed 2!
